When it comes to topical fluoride, the choice has never been easier.
3M ESPE Preventive Care announces the new formulation of Clinpro™ White Varnish, now with an
innovative tri-calcium phosphate (TCP) technology that delivers more protection to the teeth, and
helps relieve sensitivity. In clinical studies, Clinpro White Varnish has been shown to flow more than
competing varnishes, meaning that it can reach more places and deliver more fluoride to the teeth. Plus,
Clinpro White Varnish with TCP:
- Releases Calcium
- Relieves Hypersensitivity.
- Takes just seconds to paint on
- Sets rapidly in the presence of saliva
- Flows better interproximally and across tooth surfaces than other brands tested*
- Contains 22,600 ppm Fluoride
Clinpro White Varnish – Easy to use & works like magic
3M ESPE Clinpro™ White Varnish with TCP is a fluoridated clear varnish for treatment of hypersensitive teeth; it is appropriate for use on both enamel and dentine. It is moisture and saliva-tolerant; consequently, it flows smoothly on moist teeth and binds firmly to their surfaces. The treatment may be applied after routine professional tooth cleaning or scaling and rootplaning. However, this is not a prerequisite; the area to be treated only needs to be "toothbrush clean". Most of all, your patients will appreciate the pleasant taste of Clinpro white varnish which has a fresh flavour of mint. Xylitol is used as a sweetener.
Optimal comfort for you and your patients.

The tri-calcium phosphate ingredient, which is exclusive to 3M ESPE, uses an innovative technology customised to work with Clinpro White Varnish to deliver fluoride, phosphate and calcium—all key ingredients for building strong teeth. During the manufacturing process, a protective barrier is created around the calcium, and as the varnish flows on the teeth it comes into contact with saliva, breaking down the protective barrier and making calcium, phosphate and fluoride ions available to the teeth. Fluoride and calcium react to form calcium fluoride, which aids in sensitivity reduction. Clinpro White Varnish with TCP flows and doesn’t just harden and stop where applied. The varnish beneath the surface layer stays fluid longer, and continues to flow from treated to untreated tooth surfaces—including inter-proximal areas, which traditional varnishes may miss. Because of this ability to flow across and between teeth, more varnish reaches more tooth surfaces, making increased amounts of fluoride available. This exclusive TCP technology has been customised to work with Clinpro white varnish to deliver targeted and sustained fluoride and calcium release. After application, Clinpro white varnish flows across tooth surfaces and comes in contact with saliva, releasing calcium and fluoride. As the varnish moves, more varnish material is exposed to saliva allowing additional fluoride and calcium to be released on the tooth surface. This process enables Clinpro white varnish to continuously release fluoride AND calcium over the life of the varnish—up to 24 hours! |
