Dual-Touch Projected Capacitive Technology


Dual-touch projected capacitive technology (two touch) enables applications and operating systems to create user experiences beyond traditional single touch interactions. The projected capacitive sensor allows the system to quickly and accurately track two simultaneous touches across the entire touch screen. The responsive, accurate, and easy-to-use dual-touch system enables program designers to migrate existing single touch applications to a gesture-based interface to create and deliver popular user interactions such as pan, zoom and rotate. As a plug-and-play device, application programmers will be able to leverage dual-touch capabilities built into Windows 7 and other popular programming languages.
